Hello, hello. I’ve been very silent, I know, but this blogging business is growing more complex everyday both on the back end front and on the… well, making-time-for-it front. Geez, that was well said—not.
Anyway. I just had to delete 30 registered users from this blog because I had, for a variety of reasons, the suspicion that they were all spam users - fake accounts, in short. There is only one honest user registered here apart from me, that I can tell (hiya, friend!) and I have not, of course, deleted her account… If any real person got hurt in the process by having their account deleted, please forgive me, and show yourself in some way so that next time I know you’re not a phantom sockpuppet!
I’m still pondering hauling everything up and into a MTOS setup instead of a WP blog; I just never had the time yet to dive back in code and sysadmin to figure that out. I’m busy finishing my belated Masters thesis (which drives me crazy, as these things do); looking for paid work; translating sociology and Jewish feminism for next to no money (in hopes of helping out friends and/or setting up paid work possibilities for later); nursing stupid headaches; etc.
I have one piece of fun news that no one but me probably will care about, though: I’m seeing Hamlet at the RSC with David Tennant in the lead role at the end of this month. There’s something to rejoice about!
Unlike internet spam. Ugh.
